You'll be part of a dynamic team of 30 scientists and research associates based in RTP, NC. Working with our partners, collaborators, and other research units, your role will be to use your scientific background to drive and support research into microbial identification and enumeration methods, microbial sample quality, and optimization of process quality. From designing and managing experiments to conducting root cause investigations, you're able to see the details in the bigger picture and turn good ideas into commercial solutions. In this position you need to: - Have a Master or PhD in Microbiology or related field, with research experience with a variety of microbial species and/or microbial physiology - Have experience with traditional and molecular microbial identification methods - Have experience with GLP, GMP, root cause analysis, and quality management tools is preferred - Share knowledge and communicate with peers in a global R&D organization - Have experience with microbial fermentation and preservation methods is preferred - Have a strong network within the international scientific community - Strong initiative, creativity, and communication skills - Enjoy working with a team, while being able to independently manage multiple projects -Be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future Are you the next Zymer in our team?
