Quality Engineer, Validations

Details: Provides technical expertise in the practice of pre-production quality assurance for projects of major magnitude and scope. Develops, appraises and approves documentation to assure product quality and reliability is not adversely affected. Develops and implements reliability tests and qualification programs that assure performance, reliability, and safety requirements are satisfied. Ensures that all pre-production regulatory requirements are satisfied, this includes design review, design verification and product validation testing. Conducts risk analyses for new and existing components, designs, and processes. Develops and conducts statistically designed experiments to determine sources of product variability so that product quality is maintained or improved. Analyzes the impact of out of specification materials and components on product performance and reliability. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities Adheres to GB Core Beliefs and all safety and quality requirements. Plans, schedules, conducts, or coordinates detailed phases of the engineering work in a part of a major project or total project of moderate scope. Reviews test procedures and plans prior to implementation, conducts failure analysis and inspection on products, processes and materials Independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications. Devises new approaches to problems encountered. Investigates, develops and implements new process technologies of moderate scope. Prepares all necessary paperwork and documentation for all projects undertaken. Performs other functions as required. Job Requirements Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Related Field. Minimum Experience: 3-5 years experience. Specialized Knowledge: Computer skills as required by stated accountabilities. Intermediate word-processing and spreadsheet skills. Excellent problem solving skills. Special Skills: Strong written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
