Details: The Senior Staff Development Scientist has both depth and breadth of expertise and knowledge of technical principles, theories, and concepts in multiple related disciplines. This individual leverages expertise in project management techniques to guide the completion of major projects. Responsibilities: Integrates research, current literature, and industry knowledge into highly innovative solutions for complex projects or programs Designs, executes, and documents laboratory experiments to generate new knowledge and test hypotheses Investigates the mechanism of VERIS particle extraction and purification of nucleic acids from biological matrices Troubleshoot performance issues with VERIS particles during production processing and use by customer Coordinates and/or performs calibration and preventive maintenance of complex instrumentation Has frequent interaction with manufacturing and quality, in addition to other functional areas and operating entities
