Job Overview The successful candidate will oversee daily operations for maintenance, distribution, and characterization of multiple pluripotent stem cell banks. The candidate will be responsible for providing regular preparation of stem cells in various culture vessels. Furthermore, the candidate will be responsible for maintenance, aliquoting, and rigorous accounting of various reagents used for cell culture. A strong command of spoken and written English is required with demonstrated proficiency in authoring batch records, SOPs, and technical reports. Job Duties • Perform hands-on maintenance, culturing, distribution, banking, and characterization of various stem cell banks • Evaluate cell cultures for quality; troubleshoot and maintain detailed records of each cell bank • Ensure that established quality control and quality assurance protocols procedures are followed • Assist in creating and implementing laboratory documents, Training Documents, SOPs, Technical Reports • Distribute stem cell cultures in various vessel sizes for internal use • Maintain and archive accurate records of experimental results • Provide written and oral summaries to a cross-functional team to facilitate efficient progress • Interact with staff at all levels regarding relevant research and development activities • Oversee maintenance, aliquoting, ordering and proper inventory log of reagents and consumables Job Qualifications • The candidate must have experience with sterile cell culture instruments • Experience with culturing of human ES cells is a plus • Master’s degree in Biology or a related life science area with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry OR a Bachelor s degree in the above disciplines with 5 years relevant experience is required • Experience with cell culture and maintenance of cell banks is essential.. • Must be able to excel with goal-oriented projects and be multi-faceted in a fast-moving team environment • Outstanding communication and leadership skills with a successful track record of collaborating across cross-functional scientific teams are essential. • Strong organizational and planning skills Why Kelly ® ?
