Dryer and Evaporator Operator

Details: Third Shift Dryer/Evaporator Operator- 05-11-15– Job description: - 5- Eight Hour Days Work Week Typically - Typical times of 10:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Monday Through Friday Open position at a Food Fermentation Company in Louisville,KY. Duties to include but not limited to: - Monitors Control processes during Evaporation and Dryer production and makes necessary adjustments. - Monitors Evaporation and Dryer production runs by going out to production areas and visually monitoring production. - Troubleshoots and corrects problems during the production runs. - Retrieves samples from both Evaporator and Dryer, records findings, and makes adjustments based on the findings. - Ensures a proper amount of Maltodextrin is added during the Evaporation process and completes documentation. - Processes Super Sacks of finished products and documents all necessary information. - Records all necessary information on the Evaporation Sheets and Drying Logs. - Cleans, maintains, and completes setup procedures on Evaporator and related equipment. - Cleans, maintains and completes setup procedures on Dryer and related equipment. - Cleans and prepares storage tanks for product. - Cleans and prepares product lines for product. - Cleans and maintains tank farm areas. - Cleans and maintains Finished Product Warehouse. - Completes and documents HACCP and other checklist items on a daily/weekly basis. - Assists Supervisor in identifying new, safer and costs saving methods of production to improve personnel safety and improve longevity of equipment. - Assists Fermentation production staff when necessary or as needed. - Assists Maintenance personnel and completes necessary maintenance items when necessary. - Operates forklift as needed to load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks. - Completes all other projects as needed and/or delegated by supervisor/management. - Periodic overtime may be necessary to keep up with production demands. . Experience of at least 2 years with a Dryer or Evaporator required with experience within a food facility a large plus. Starting pay is $14.00 to $16.00 an hour based upon experience to start with an additional 5% shift differential for hours worked between 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Applicants will be subjected to background checks. A proprietary agreement is a company requirement along with a 90 day probationary period. This position is direct report to the Dryer/Evaporator Supervisor.
